DELAMERE
FOREST GOLF CLUB
JUNIOR
SECTION
The
aim of the Junior section is to provide a framework within which
our young golfers are able to develop their golfing prowess,
knowledge of the Rules and of the Etiquette of golf so that, in
future, they maintain and enhance the reputation of Delamere
Forest Golf Club wherever they subsequently play golf.
Delamere Forest Golf
Club
has an active junior section of 40+ mostly male but
with some girls and mainly the children of members, as you would
expect at a private members club.
As
these youngsters have grown in competence, the programme of junior
golf competitions has been expanded to encourage them into
competitive golf
Again this
year, the club has entered a team in the Mid Cheshire Junior
League. Teams consist of 5 players who play singles match play
against the other teams in the league, giving the players valuable
experience of team competition, and of playing at other golf
courses around Cheshire.
