The woodland in front of the tee (Burnt Wood) is out of bounds. Why? "Because it always has been." In fact there is more room on the right than you might think and that is the better side to be as the slopes take the tee shot further. The approach shot is made trickier as there is more slope from back to front on this green than appearances suggest. Putting from the back of this green to a front pin placement is notoriously difficult.
